You notice so much its virtually arduous to argue with you (not that I actually would need…HaHa).

You positively put a new spin on a subject thats been written about for years.
Nice stuff, simply nice!

That was a ridiculous response. "Republican tax cuts do not work" is utterly false. Tax cuts have worked ever time they have been tried. The Mellon tax cuts in the 1920's, the Kennedy tax cuts in the 1960's, the Reagan tax cuts of the 1980's, and the Bush cuts all helped the economy. The record is quite clear. "taxes' were not cut, rather "tax rates" were cut, which had predicable effect of increasing tax revenues, not cutting revenue. Tax collections almost doubled in the 1980's while the tax rates were cut from 70% to 28%. Meanwhile, the history is very clear on whether or not a "stimulus" helps the economy. It never has help, in any country, in any period of history. Giving it two minutes of thought, and child could figure out why it wouldn't work.
The Nelson makes the another absurd comment that politicians need to get their egos out of the way and do what is right, after he just said neither knows what is right. One party is doing what is best for America, and the other partyy is doing what is best for themselves.

Interesting blog entry. An opportunity Society would be based on one persons willingness to get out there and achieve what they want. But that's not the big picture. If someone wants to sit around and be lazy, like Sam Waltons children, they can. And they do it well. And they make a lot of money doing it. But that's not the reality for the rest of us. If we want to achieve success, we must obtain a college education, which by the way the job market is saturated with Masters, Bachelors and Associates, and once we obtain a college degree we can gain employment and make hundreds of thousands of dollars. The reality of that is, businesses continue to cut, hire from within, take less risk, freeze pay raises amd hire without benefits. 50% of America is either poor or near poor status.

It today's society, its more or less becoming an Entitlement Society because the rich have allowed it to become that way. Its sort of like a union. An employer hires a bunch of workers, makes them work 14 hours days with no breaks, no lunch breaks and for little pay as possible, so the workers form an uprising, demand better pay, better working conditions, better benefits all in the name of equality. Yet, unions are looked down at because the workers are "greedy". When in essence, they just want a decent wage to live on.

Speaking of decent pay, do you honestly think minimum wage is a "decent wage"? And businesses that pay out minimum wage give just enough hours so people don't qualify for full-time work or benefits. So applying for government "handouts", if you will, seems like the only other option when you're making $14 thousand a year.

Entitlements, like Social Security and Medicare are paid into by the workers of this country. People are entitled to those benefits because they've been paying into them since they started working. It would be nice to be able to benefit from THEIR money once they are retired. I think that's a no brainer. Other entitlements like VA benefits, educational support for the soldiers is another no brainer. I've never understood why so many politicians want to cut from those entitlements that people have either 1) signed up, and risk their lives for or 2) worked their entire lives to obtain.

It's a paradox.

I do not have the answer to our problems, but I know from what I have seen that neither side knows what to do. Republican tax cuts do not work and democratic tax hikes and stimulus packages do not work. I know without a doubt that as long as both parties think they are the only answer that nothing will be fixed. Both parties have got to STOP doing what is best for their parties and what is best for America.

No the GOP is not what is best, and no the Democrats are not what is best.
Both parties have been fighting the same way for decades about who is best, but honestly nothing changes. Both need to get their s*** together and their egos out of the way and do what is right.

The Wisconsin protests have brought up a fight that hasn't been debated in a while: the right of the poor to collectively protect themselves against the rich. The Democratic party hasn't been completely with the working man for a while, and it is good to finally see that they are coming around. The word union has taken on such a negative connotation. Americans are overwhelmingly in favor in favor of collective bargaining in an abstract way, but are against "unions".
I wrote an article about the Wisconsin situation here...

Ambassador Bolton:

I fully agree with your position as to the current START treaty. To me the confusioon I have been unable to resolve is whether the so called "Preamble" is in fact the Reps and Warranties. If in fact the "Preamble" is what I think it is, the language is "boiler plate" and has no meaning any way other than a recitation of facts. The defensive missle question should be in a Reps and Warraties section to have any force in law. I enjoy listening to you on Fox. Best wishes, Lewsi R. Brine

Please take a look at this AD...This speaks to US in every state!
I have watched 2 speeches by Christine O’Donnell.
She is bright and NOT a stupid woman! Here in California we are need of fresh honest ideas....no longer the Golden state....more like the Dumping state!
WHY because there seems to be NO shame in the out of control spending Sacramento does. Folks I sure hope you pay attention and Vote smart.. I bet you did not know for the fist time U can place
Russia as number 8 whom the US owes money too. Of course China as well as Japan are the first two.
Thank you
